As part of the marketing organization, we are focused on delivering experiences and communications that ensure clients and prospects get the outcomes they deserve while we support the reputation of the Schwab brand.

As part of the Digital Engagement Team within Corporate Communications, we focus on building positive sentiment and driving brand awareness. You’ll have the opportunity to expand the company’s relationships with clients and prospects on our social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram) and deliver engaging content to build and deepen our online community.

Reporting to the Director of Digital Engagement, the Community Manager will collaborate with members of the immediate team as well as partners in corporate communications, marketing, and client service.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Build and engage with our communities: Ensure that clients, prospects and other key audiences find the information and resources they need, including collaborating with our service and marketing teams to ensure positive brand experiences.
  • Identify trends: Discover new trends, develop listening reports on topics related to client and prospect interests.
  • Seek out engagement opportunities: Engage on behalf of company channels in relevant online conversations.
    Provide relevant, useful reporting to business leaders: Ensure that client and other key audience feedback is shared internally and provide thoughtful analysis and perspective.
  • Partner with cross-enterprise teams: Advise business partners on how to most efficiently use social media to achieve goals. Repurpose and improve existing content where possible.

What you have

  • Online or social media community management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent marketing communications experience coupled with a background in financial services, higher education, or other regulated industries. (prefer 5 years)
  • Ability to synthesize data, find opportunities, make recommendations, and report on results.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Impeccable judgment, compassion and emotional maturity
  • Experience with social media tools such as Khoros, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, or Brandwatch

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of financial services industry-related compliance guidelines
  • Crisis/issues management and response planning
