Your Opportunity

The Head of Client Reporting & Communications will serve as the general manager of the reporting and communications platforms for clients.  This is an area of strategic importance given the need to support clients, our field representatives, and regulatory needs as the market environment and the combination of Schwab and TD Ameritrade has driven massive growth.  This team is at a pivotal moment to both execute on identified opportunities and determine the broader strategy as we scale.  To lead us, the Vice President must have a passion for building products and experiences, the ability to manage complex work, and drive change. 

The Head of Client Reporting & Communications will work across a wide range of stakeholders to optimize our experiences and platforms.  Additionally this individual will lead product design, client experience, development, and risk management.  This role will be responsible for articulating the vision for this team, building scalable product, and innovating to drive optimized experiences.  This is an extremely high-profile, cross-enterprise role within Schwab.

What you are good at

The successful Head of Client Reporting & Communications will create the strategy for this team to create scalable experiences to support Schwab’s rapid growth.  The scope ranges from defining and executing the vision, determining the right client experiences, and partnering with technology to design and create modern platforms to support.  This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Comprehensive understanding of the product development lifecycle and agile practices to build exceptional experiences on a healthy and scalable platform
  • Providing a strategy and vision for Client Reporting and Communications
  • Defining the client experience across several platforms – for both internal and external clients
  • Strong attention to detail as it relates to risk management, governance, and institutionalizing processes
  • Establishing and obtaining commitment to business goals, while constructively motivating people and implementing strategies to achieve superior business results, including quality and productivity
  • Building engaged, high-functioning teams across product, technology, and other areas of the firm
  • Strong client focus and the ability to effectively build relationships, establish trust, respect, competence, and confidence

What you have

A minimum of 12 years of experience in digital product leadership roles with demonstrated increasing scope / impact -

Experience providing end-to-end business direction and digital product leadership for technology solutions in the financial services industry.

Exceptional communication, relationship management, and influencing skills -

Experience managing multiple priorities and overseeing distinct teams with varied strengths. Proven ability to navigate complex and nuanced interpersonal issues, balance priorities of different stakeholders, and build trust among business partners. Strong emotional intelligence/maturity and senior level executive presence. Thrives on initiating, building, and cultivating strong authentic relationships inside and outside the group.

Experience driving transformation, change and process improvement through people, process, and technology -

Able to take a broad view of continuous process improvement and operational discipline to identify and maximize what we do and how we do it across the Enterprise.

Leadership -

Able to articulate a complex task or analysis to individuals at all levels of the company. An exceptional manager and motivator of people and teams who can build organizational capacity through a combination of proper organizational structure, hiring, training, and recruiting the best talent available.

Education and Professional Qualifications -

Bachelor's degree required. Post graduate degree is a plus.

10+ years’ experience in people management; consistent record of building and inspiring hard-working teams.
