It is the goal of the CSIM Fund Administration, Custody, Treasury, Operations & Reporting group to actively contribute to the success of our proprietary mutual fund business. Our group is focused on our fund business and improving the risk management, administration, fund accounting, tax, reporting, and operations of the products and assets managed within CSIM.

What you are good at

This role is primarily responsible for oversight of critical functions aligned with the mutual fund expense administration business. This individual will be part of the team that oversees the third-party fund accounting service provider responsible for processing invoice payments on behalf of the mutual funds and ETFs, evaluating and forecasting expense accruals, as well as oversight of revenue collection and reporting.

This role requires partnering with all functional areas within CSIM, including product management, distributor oversight, project management, vendor oversight, compliance, legal, finance, portfolio management and trade operations. The role will also interact with the CSIM Finance and Corporate Finance teams to ensure revenue and expenses are reported and recorded appropriately as well as assist in forecasting the Funds’ revenue and expenses. A key function of this role is the continued analysis of workflow and recommendation for process improvements along with capabilities to work independently on complex problem-solving initiatives. Additionally, this person will ensure that internal controls are documented, implemented, and appropriately monitored. This role also includes responsibility to stay abreast of regulatory changes and relevant industry changes/trends and implementing those changes on a go forward basis. This is an individual contributor role.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Oversight and managing day to day operations of mutual fund expense administration
  • Partnership with CSIM Finance and Corporate Finance teams to ensure revenue and expenses are reported and recorded appropriately
  • Providing daily business and operational support to key fund complex partners including executing on product initiatives
  • Assisting with a variety of legal, regulatory, and compliance activities, including review of the Funds’ annual and semi-annual financial statements, insofar as these activities pertain to fund expenses
  • Participation in external industry committees and work groups/task forces
  • Preparing monthly management reports, governance committee reports and fund board reports

What you have

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Business, Economics, or related field preferred
  • 2-5 years’ experience within the Financial Services industry and 1-5 years’ experience within Fund Accounting/Administration, Operations, and Mutual Funds preferred
  • Strong Excel macro and/or SQL knowledge with ability to build automation, or the desire to learn
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance competing priorities in adherence to strict timeframes and deadlines
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills

Colorado Compensation

Target Total Compensation – 69,700-125,500
