Charles Schwab is seeking a Senior Security Manager. The Manager will provide leadership in the growth and support of server operating systems including the development, implementation and delivery of these related platform initiatives.

The Manager will:

o Leading a team of associates supporting multiple corporate locations, approximately 44000 users, 6 major Data centers and 30 million Clients.  

o Will oversee the continued lifecycle, maintenance and support of the enterprise platform environments including server, storage, middleware, database, and virtualization systems

o Develops and Optimizes the delivery of services by developing metrics and KPIs to assists in evaluating people, process and technology.

o Leads the coordination and delivery of strategies focused on enterprise patch management execution and reporting aligned with audit, cybersecurity and functionality maintenance to minimize risk to the firm.

o Partner with peer technology organizations, business, clients and senior management to ensure Infrastructure designs conform to accepted standards

o Maintains, optimizes and supports enterprise system platforms across multiple environments, working with internal and external business partners and customers to communicate and execute system lifecycle strategies.

  • Leads a group of subject matter experts to provide technology services for infrastructure environments.
  • Develop and socialize product/ service catalog framework to increase requestor awareness and satisfaction.
  • Ensures that platform suppliers and internal resources meet business requirements.
  • Ensure that implementations meet project budget and timelines, identify potential concerns related to project initiatives and recommend viable solutions
  • Builds individual development plans and training matrixes for associates
  • Responsible for department budget planning (capital & operational expenditures), and spends.
  • Interfaces and collaborates with Incident, Problem and Change Management Teams
  • Manages technical staff and assures that the duties, responsibilities and authority of each subordinate are clearly defined and effectively communicated.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, evaluations, assign, counsel and train subordinates in both technical and non-technical areas to achieve high productivity, build professional confidence, and reward for outstanding performance

What you have


  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in service and product management.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in technology engineering
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure architectures, software lifecycle tactic, and system development.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong understanding and experience of server and client side architectures and systems design. Should have an understanding of current industry trends and their advantages with ability to right fit into an existing environment.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Extensive knowledge with data center migration and consolidation utilizing emerging technologies.
  • Extensive troubleshooting and performance monitoring skills.
  • Experience of the following:
    • Data Analytics and Visualization
    • Statistical Analysis
    • Service Management and root cause analysis
    • Service Catalog creation and optimization
  • Experience with ITIL frameworks
  • Experience with LEAN framework, leading Value Stream mapping sessions and driving problem resolving sessions with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in the development statistical analysis in a technology setting, leverage utilities such as Tableau, Microsoft Excel, etc.
  • Background in working with organizations that provide 24x7x365 support.
  • Must understand network architecture and specific network components.
  • Skilled in the development or re-engineering of systems and processes.
  • Operations background with excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Understanding of network communication protocols (TCP/IP etc).
  • Application load balancing and recovery mechanisms a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent people skills with ability to handle difficult personnel situations
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and processes.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
