Your Opportunity


You will be responsible for providing technical direction and leadership to a team of Mainframe Systems Programmers and Performance, Configuration and Storage Engineers in support of business demand and strategic technical design and engineering.  You will engage primarily with system support personnel and business partners, including application developers, technical analysts, architects, project managers, and technical leaders at various levels.

What you are good at


  • Broad and deep knowledge of modern enterprise technology and trends
  • In depth knowledge of Mainframe disaster recovery methods and processes
  • Experience with defining operational controls and a successful track record with internal and external compliance audits
  • Ability to be self-directed and interact with technology and business partners at all levels
  • Proven experience leading positive change, empowering people, cultivating product technology visions and innovative solutions, and fostering effective engineering practices and culture
  • Experience in driving process improvements, with a strong focus on leveraging technology for the establishment of fluid interactions and interfaces between teams
  • Must have a collaborative, cooperative and motivational approach to leadership
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are a must
  • Experience in ROI and Business Case development
  • Demonstrated strategic thinker with the ability to develop long term plans and effectively execute
  • Commitment to excellence in service delivery
  • Familiar with process methodologies, and effective Workflow tools and processes (ITIL, Lean, Agile)
  • Experience in Financial Services a plus

What you have


  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience working with Mainframe design, performance, product and application support
  • 5+ years of experience with running complex Mainframe infrastructure projects with multiple dependencies
